The Gers started strongly and got the first goal within five minutes, after Vignal urged the them to start with a high tempo.

He said:

“I think it is a really good performance from the team and from the squad and I am really really satisfied and pleased today.

“The game plan was to start with a high tempo from the start and I said to the girls this is what I want today so it worked perfectly and we scored good goals.

“I like to play attacking football and I think I have got the players to play forward and to score goals so it was the case today and the game plan worked really well and I am really happy with the girls.”

As well as having five different scorers in the game, Vignal was delighted to see his side keep a clean sheet.

He added: “It is always so important. You can listen to any coach around the world and they want to keep a clean sheet because that shows your character and how strong you are defensively so this is something we have worked on the last number of weeks now and I am really pleased with the clean sheet.”

Rangers will now face Forfar Farmington in the fourth round of the cup next Sunday with the Gers boss hoping to take positives from today into that game.

He explained:

“There are a lot of positives to take from this game and we will be doing some analysis on Wednesday night to try and see the good and bad things because we have to learn from our mistakes but it is positive for me and the girls worked really hard today. I am really really happy.”
