Scottish Women’s Football (SWF) want to ensure as many people as possible can play the sport that they love. There may be exceptional circumstances, occasions, and situations where the most appropriate team may be out with their usual age group. This is where SWF’s Player Dispensation Process becomes appropriate for SWF Member Clubs.
The following circumstances are where a young person may be considered for dispensation:
Geographical (travel) Reasons
Medical, Health & Wellbeing
Player Development Principles
These 3 areas will be balanced against the main pillars that the dispensation process is set upon.
These pillars are:
Fairness / Inclusivity / Safety
Please read the guidance before applying for dispensation: Dispensation guidance document
Please note the Dispensation window is now closed. Request Dispensation is not possible at this time.
Clubs may also wish to apply for playing day dispensation within the youth game. Any team unable to play on the prescribed playing day may apply for playing day dispensation to the Youth Regional League Management Committee. Playing day dispensation should only be applied for in exceptional circumstances.
