In front of a large, supportive crowd Celtic 15s defeated Aberdeen LFC 15s 5-0 to lift the Girls’ Scottish Cup at Toryglen Regional Football Centre on Saturday.
This completed a treble of trophies for the 2016 summer season after winning their local West League and League Cup.
The scorers in the final were Emma Craig with a hat-trick while Aisha Maughan and Taylor Hamill scored one goal each..
Head coach Keiron McAneny told the official Celtic website: “Celtic 15s put in a performance of the highest standard to win the Scottish Cup.
“More importantly, however, our coaches firmly believe that every player who is in the squad has become better this year.
“We’ve had 12 players go up represent Celtic 17s and two who played for Celtic Academy at senior level in the Scottish Women’s Football League Division One.
“If the players continue to work hard and have the right attitude, there is no reason why they can’t keep developing and go all the way to the top.
“I’m so proud of their individual development, but also of how they have developed as people and as a team this year.”
