Three second half goals from Celtic saw them take all three points at The Hummel Training Centre.

Speaking to RangersTV after the game, Vignal said: “The first half was ok, we didn’t play really well but it was ok but in the second-half we gave the goal away like a gift and there were too many mistakes.

“I said to the girls when you are making mistakes like this you need to show more composure on the ball and be more relaxed but it is difficult.

“I understand the situation and obviously girls are working all night and just left their job to come and play football it is not the best thing to prepare for the game but they try really hard.

“Now we have a game on Wednesday and Sunday so we need to try and prepare for these games.”

Daina Bourma had to be substituted with 10 minutes to go after picking up an injury from a challenge. Vignal says she will be assessed ahead of Wednesday night’s SWPL match against Spartans.

He added: “She is with the physio right now, we will see if she is ok for Wednesday night but if not I will play young girls I can play Freya, I am not afraid to play Freya even if she is 16-years-old so we will just wait and see.

“I hope first to win on Wednesday night and to play a very good game and plenty good things from the girls because we have to win the last home game.

“It has been a long long season for the girls but I am hoping for a reaction on Wednesday night.”
