Kevin joined Heart of Midlothian Football Club last January as Girls Academy and Women’s Manager, having come from Manchester City, where he oversaw all football operations within their Women’s Academy Department.
Kevin, who holds a UEFA Pro License, joined with a wealth of experience in the girls and women’s game with past roles including Head Coach of Rangers Women, Head of Rangers Girls Academy and Assistant Coach for the Scotland National Team at U17 and U19 level.
Since joining the club, Kevin has focused on putting an elite Girls Academy in place, working closely with Hearts Academy Manager, Roger Arnott, as well as integrating Hearts Women into the club. The Hearts Women first team enjoyed a hugely successful season in 2019 and secured promotion into SWPL 1.
Speaking to Hearts TV, Kevin said: “We’re now doubling the amount of training sessions during the week. The top league brings more demands both on and off the park and I personally felt it was unfair for that responsibility to rest on the shoulders of one person alone.
“So I spoke with Andy Enwood, who was the Head Coach last season and he fully appreciated that. So for the season ahead, Andy will be the First Team Coach along with Banji Koya who we’ve also brought in. Those two guys will lead on the football sessions and I’ll be there as the Manager to oversee the training and make sure everything is looked after away from the pitch.
“So there’s been a reshuffle but we’re all focused on the task in hand.”
