Glasgow City sit top of the Scottish Building Society Premier League on goal difference with five games remaining following a 4-1 win over Hamilton Accies.
Sam Kerr put City ahead in the opening moments to put City in the driving seat at the break. Youngster Carly Girasoli made it 2-0 from a corner, before substitute Jordan McLintock added a third on 61 minutes. Abbi Grant made it 4-0, before Accies got a consolation goal with five minutes remaining through Lori Gardner.
Commenting, City Head Coach, Scott Booth said, “As a group we fell below our own standards today. It was a very disjointed performance. Hamilton worked hard to make things difficult for us but we also made things difficult for ourselves. Ultimately though it is another very important three points.”
With the upcoming international break, City are back in action on 9th September, away to Stirling Uni, before they head to Cyprus for the last 32 of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
