Venues announced for Scottish Women’s Football pyramid play-offs

Alloa, Blairgowrie and Stenhousemuir are to the venues for the playoffs to decide promotion and relegation from and to the Barclays Scottish Women’s Leagues and the Regional Scottish Women’s Football leagues on Sunday 1 June.

The Indodrill Stadium in Alloa, which hosts the ScottishPower senior cup finals in May, has now been announced for two playoffs.

The first, which kicks off at noon, is for a place in the Barclays Scottish Women’s Championship.

Westdyke, who sit 11th in that league and now cannot catch Morton above them or be caught by Hutchison Vale below them, face the runners-up in League One, which will be either Bonnyrigg Rose or Armadale Thistle, the two sides locked in a close title battle.

Then at 4pm on the same day Giffnock, who will finish 10th in League One, will face Cambusdoon, who are certain to finish as the top eligible side in SWFL South.

On the same day, Bishopton, who are certain to finish as the top eligible side in SWFL West, will face the winners of SWFL East at Stenhousemuir’s Ochilview stadium with a noon kick-off. At Davie Park in Blairgowrie, the winners of SWFL Central will face the winners of SWFL North at 1.30pm.

The winners of each of these three games will earn a place in the Barclays Scottish Women’s League One for season 2025/26, bringing that league up to its original quota of 12 teams.
