Statement on West Park United

On Friday, just two days ahead of the commencement of the Scottish Women’s Football League phase of the 2026/27 season, West Park United informed SWF of their intention to fold their women’s team with immediate effect and withdraw from the Central/West league, citing a lack of players and resources.

The team had already begun their 2026/27 campaign and fulfilled two fixtures in the groups stage of the Regional League Cup.

The timing of the announcement left no time to redraw the fixtures, but the Central/West league will now continue with ten teams.
