On February 15th 2018, Scottish Women’s Football (SWF) were delighted to announce Who Cares? Scotland as our Charity Partner. Launched on National Care Day, SWF were delighted to support the national voluntary organisation who work with care experienced young people and care leavers across the country.
As part of this partnership, SWF has been encouraging our members to take part in Kiltwalk 2018. The first walk has already taken place in Glasgow but there are three more events scheduled:
Aberdeen – Sunday 3rd of June
Dundee – Sunday 19th of August
Edinburgh – Sunday 16th of September
SWF’s Interim Executive Officer, Lorna Cameron, who was at the Glasgow Event, said, “The Kiltwalk was an amazing experience. I’d never taken part before so I wasn’t sure what to expect however, I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was fantastic and you ended up talking to people along the way. It was also great to see so many people there supporting Who Cares? Scotland.”
Duncan Dunlop, CEO of Who Cares? Scotland, said, “We had a fantastic turnout for the Glasgow event and we’re really excited about the next dates. The Aberdeen event is under two weeks away and we’re expecting another amazing day. We’d love to see SWF members walking with Who Cares? Scotland at the next three events.”
