Scottish Women’s Football (SWF) is delighted to confirm a return of competitive and structured youth football from Saturday 8th May.
In conjunction with the Scottish FA’s Return to Football Roadmap, SWF has been engaging with all Committees to detail a return of SWF youth activity when the guidance permits.
As of Saturday 8th May a Youth Regional Games Programme will begin and last until 31st July. This programme will facilitate a structured, trophy-free platform for teams to play and then return to Youth Regional League competitions in August 2021.
Originally ratified regionalised groups will be used to create 13 rounds of fixtures with an even number of home and away games scheduled where possible. League tables will not be recorded throughout the games programme.
Fixtures will be shared directly with participating teams on Friday. We remind all that the Scottish FA guidelines must continue to be followed by players, officials, parents/guardians, and all involved in the game.
