Glasgow City continued their winning ways with a 1-0 victory away from home against Spartans, with the only goal of the game coming from a first half strike from the edge of the box from Haley Rosen.
It was a frustrating day for the Champions as they dominated from start to finish, but were found guilty of passing up numerous opportunities to put the game out of reach of their hosts who failed to record a single effort on or off target during the 90 minutes.
For City, it was a sharply contrasting set of statistics as they hit the woodwork 3 times and had 31 attempts on goal throughout the match.
Commenting, Head Coach Scott Booth said, “It was a very frustrating afternoon. We created so many chances and should have been far more clinical in taking some of them. That said, it is another three points and with only four games left in the title race, another vital three points to keep us clear at the top of the table.”
City are back in action next Sunday at home to Aberdeen at the Excelsior Stadium, Airdrie, 1pm. They then head off to Sweden to take on Eskilstuna United in the Champions League, with the return leg at the Excelsior on the 13th October. Tickets for that match are on sale at glasgowcityfc.co.uk.
