Vivienne MacLaren, Chair of Scottish Women’s Football has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Equality Champion of the Year at the inaugural Diversity Awards 2017. MacLaren, who is a marketing and communications specialist, has been a lifelong sports fan and has actively promoted women and diversity in sport for a number of years.

As well as sponsoring stars of the future, supporting local hockey and sports teams she dedicates her spare time to being Chair of Scottish Women’s Football.

MacLaren said: “I am honoured and a little shocked as I had no idea I had been nominated. Diversity is key to ensuring our society is a happy, safe and productive one and I think the awards is a wonderful initiative.”

Her work on the Board of SWF has brought transformational change. With sponsorship, new staff and the women’s game receiving more coverage and attention than ever before, there is no doubt that Vivienne has played a pivotal role in this.

The prestigious and glamorous award ceremony will be held on the 28th November in Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow.
