After extra time the hosts eventually got into the next round of the Scottish cup after the strangest of games.

The visitors took the lead before Blackburn got 4 back before half time and were apparently in cruise control.

However into the second half which Ayr won the half 5 goals to 2 meaning at the full time whistle it was 6-6!!

Into extra time and Ayr regained the lead after a minute making it 7-6. Our centre back got injured and we’d made all subs so had to play 29mins with 10 players in sweltering conditions.

We pushed on though and managed to get a victory which was what today was all about. Many lessons to be learned but we are in the next round…Just!

Well done to Ayr as well for making such a game of it, we wish them all the best on there hunt for Glory in the league.
