League leaders Glasgow City have made their second mid-season signing swoop with the capture of former US youth international Haley Rosen.
Following on from the announcement of Irish U19 international defender Keeva Keenan, City have signed Rosen, a Stanford University stand out who played a crucial role in her team’s NCAA campaign to the last 8 at the end of 2015. Following her graduation from Stanford this year, Rosen signed for NWSL Washington Spirit Reserves and leaves them to join City.
The 5′ 9″ Rosen can play in midfield or attack and adds more strength and depth to Scott Booth’s talented squad. Commenting on signing Haley, Booth said, “We are delighted to announce the signing of Haley Rosen. Glasgow City are continually trying to bring in the best footballing talent whether home or abroad and Haley will strengthen our squad considerably. Haley and Keeva Keenan will be great signings for the club and we wish them every success.”
Rosen said, “I am so excited for the incredible opportunity to be a member of Glasgow City. I am so grateful to the club for believing in me as a player and as a person, and I can’t wait to wear the Glasgow orange.”
Glasgow City are next in action on Sunday 31st July against Forfar Farmington at the Excelsior Stadium, Airdrie, 1pm.
