The early exchanges were fairly even, with both sides struggling to deal with an unpredictable surface.
Dee Ladies took the lead on 34 minutes when Vale failed to clear the ball and L Duncan found herself through on goal to finish low across the keeper. Davidson managed to get fingertips to the ball, but was defeated by the power in the shot.

A well placed cross from the right found McDonald who side footed home.
The away side almost pulled one back when Fielding raced through and managed to get a toe on the ball before the keeper. The ball rebounded at pace into the path of Bailey who was unlucky to see her effort land just wide of the post.
