Scottish Women’s Football were advised by the Perform and Win Committee, commonly referred to as the League Management Committee (LMC), that they had considered a breach of the following Competition Rule by Stirling University:

Rule 20(e) Any team fielding an ineligible player in a League fixture or a League Cup tie may have points deducted from its points total in the League, or the result being awarded 3-0 in favour of the opposing team, and/or be liable to other such penalties as the Management Committee may decide.

This breach occurred during the Scottish Women’s Premier League 2 match on Sunday 26th September between Boroughmuir Thistle and Stirling University.

The Perform and Win Committee determined that the fixture be awarded 3-0 to Boroughmuir Thistle and Stirling University were issued with a fine of £50. The results and league tables will be updated accordingly.

SWF acknowledges Stirling University’s right to appeal and will make no further comment at this time.
