Leanne Ross put City ahead from the penalty spot to give the hosts the lead at the break, however Cheryl McCulloch equalised 12 minutes after the interval to score against her old side.

Kathleen McGovern fired the hoops in front on 64 minutes, but City levelled the scoring through Sam Kerr only 4 minutes later.

The goal of the match and the winner came from City and Scotland international Hayley Lauder as she fired a superb left foot strike into the bottom corner with ten minutes remaining.

The win keeps City neck and neck with Hibernian on equal points and with only two games left to play in the Scottish Building Society SWPL, including City hosting Hibs at Petershill on 21st October.

All eyes now turn to the UEFA Women’s Champions Leagues draw tomorrow as City find out who they will face in the last 16.

City will however play one of the top 8 sides in Europe due to the seeding system so we await one of the big European powerhouses coming to Glasgow in a few weeks time.
